Nearly 12 hours after the Brampton shooting claimed the life of a man, Peel Regional Police say they must identify the victim.

It was around 4 a.m. on Sunday, June 5 when officers were called to the city’s Advance Boulevard and Alfred Cuen Boulevard areas to report a shooting.

Khatra said the victim was taken to a trauma center where she later died.

“Since then, our homicide bureau has taken care of the investigation. Right now, we do not have anyone in custody and do not have any suspicious information to share,” he said while talking to reporters at the scene.
