‘In absolute awe’: Parm Gill re-elected in hotly contested Milton riding

Param Gill is returning to Queens Park to represent Milton as MPP.

The Progressive Conservative incumbent was the presumptive winner of Thursday’s provincial election, with Liberal candidate Samira Ali coming in second.

After 10 a.m. when Gill made his way around the crowd at Bronte’s campaign office, volunteers and supporters cheered, hugged and shook hands.


“I’m still in complete awe,” Gill began his victory speech with his wife, two sons and a daughter next to him on the podium.

“None of this would be possible, obviously, without the team, without family and without people like you, who dedicate countless hours knocking on doors and talking to constituents, identifying votes and giving them Let’s try to get out.”
