The Police Command in Kano State said it has arrested 96 suspected criminals in different parts of the state.
The State Commissioner of Police Mr. Mohamed Usaini-Gumel said this while addressing journalists in Kano today.
Usaini-Gumel said the suspects were arrested to pave the way for a hassle-free transition to the state.
He said those arrested included 52 phone robbery suspects, six illegal drug users and dealers as well as thirty-eight others for alleged kidnapping, armed robbery, swindle (yan daba) and theft.
The Commissioner said that the exhibits recovered from the suspects included 71 mobile phones, 150 weapons such as 3 locally made guns and some deadly fabricated weapons.
