This is contained in a statement issued by Mrs Janet Penny, Deputy Director Information of the Abuja Environment Protection Board (AEPB) on Wednesday in Abuja.

Speaking, MACBAN, FCT Chapter President, Alhaji Usman Muhammad said, “We will help ensure that no more cows are seen roaming the city center before the big day.

“It is our culture to receive a visitor in a very neat and clean environment and in this case, the visiting government is the visitor.

He recalled meeting with the FCT Minister and other investors from Dubai who expressed interest in investing in improved animal husbandry in the FCT for higher profits.

According to him, this has the potential to generate cash for both the FCT administration and local cattle herders, as well as introduce herders to modern cow husbandry methods.

He looked forward to hearing from the FCT Administration regarding next steps.

Citing the recent theft of over 300 cows from his real brother, the Speaker urged the next government to assist them as cattle rustling is a major issue.

Also speaking, Alhaji Adamu Rabo, chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) branch of the association, promised to immediately convey the message to every herdsman in his domain about the importance of cooperating with the government to ensure that the inauguration be conducted peacefully and successfully. “The inauguration which will host more than 47 Presidents and Heads of State and other important dignitaries from across the world, hence the need to keep the city very clean and to ensure that no cow is seen grazing in the FCT and its environs Goes,” Bramah said.
