Raqesh Bapat was conceived on September 1, 1978, in Amravati. He won the National Award at the junior level for his painting. His father is an army officer & his mother is a school teacher. Raqesh Bapat did his primary education in Amravati and subsequently completed his MBA post-graduation from Mumbai University.

Career Timeline
In his childhood, Raqesh had an passion for arts and crafts. He even won a national award for painting when he was in ninth class. Raqesh began his career as a model & secured the 1st prize in “Mr Pune”. Later at the age of 21 of won Mr Grasim India in Kolkata. He went Bollywood with Anubhav Sinha directorial, “Tum Bin” in 2001. The character landed on him after the makers spotted him in the Colgate advertisement. Since then he has been appeared at the same time in films also as TV serials making him a household name.
