Woman dies in collision in Brampton, man in custody

A woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision in Brampton.

Police tweeted that the accident happened on Chinguacausi Road and Burt Drive after 2.30 pm on Friday.

According to police, one person was detained and then taken to a trauma center with non-life-threatening injuries.


Constable Heather Cannon said at a news conference that the man arrested was suspected of being impaired while driving.

Police have closed the intersection “at dinner time” to investigate the cause of the collision.
