Following the dissolution of the State Executive Council, the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Bani has approved the appointment of seven Senior Special Assistants.
This was disclosed by his spokesman, Mamman Mohammed, in a statement made available to reporters in Damaturu on Friday.
The newly appointed SSAs are: Dr. Muhammad Sani (SSA on Education),
Doctor. Garba Ilya (SSA on Humanitarian Affairs), Barrister Saleh Samanja (SSA on Legal Affairs) and Retd Brig. General Abdulsalam Dahiru (SSA on Security).
The others are: Dr. Mohamed Lawan Ghana (SSA on Health), Aji Yerima Bularafa (SSA on Political Affairs) and Abdullahi Bego (SSA on Wealth Creation).
According to the statement, the appointments of Senior Special Assistants were necessitated in view of the strategic location of their respective offices to avoid creating a void.
Most of the new appointees were former commissioners and special advisors to the governor.
